Less is more

Tubemogul reports that on video sharing sites, 53% of viewers are gone after the first 60 seconds of a video.
Of course the content of a video plays a big part in how long people stay to watch, but the safe rule to follow is that less is often more. It’s also true that cutting a video down into a shorter version is often hard , which is why a lot of the web videos we see tend to run for much longer than they actually should for maximum viewer impact.
